Introduction

These terms are applicable to all contracts of any kind made by Muddles Lodge Perisher (“Muddles Ski Lodge”, “Muddles”, “Muddles Green”, “Perisher Creek Lodge”, “Lodge”, "we" & "us") and its clients and apply to all reservations, bookings and agreements for accommodation, dining, function room hire and use of all services at Muddles Ski Lodge. 

Clients are invited to read these provisions and note their responsibilities, arrangements for payments, cancellation terms and limitations on the liability of Muddles Ski Lodge. The contract is conditional until full payment of the deposit is received.

Definitions

Client: Any individual or group interested in the services provided by Muddles Ski Lodge, regardless of making any payment for services. 

NPWS: National Parks and Wildlife Services 

BYO: Bring your own

General Terms & Conditions

  1. All advertised rates are per room, per night with a maximum amount of people, displayed at the time of booking.

  2. All accommodation quotes and requests for reservations are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed until booking confirmation via email is received. 

  3. Once a booking is confirmed, no subsequent discounts can be applied. 

  4. Muddles Ski Lodge reserves the right to change the room type or room configuration before arrival. 

  5. The rooms are licensed for a specified number of persons. Additional persons will constitute a breach of the occupancy arrangements with NPWS and will incur additional charges per person at full rates. 

  6. Any changes made after confirmation of booking can only be requested via email and will require approval by a Lodge Manager. These changes may result in additional charges. 

  7. Check-out is before 10 am and Check-in is from 3 pm. Outside of these hours, luggage storage can be arranged on request. Please confirm your estimated time of arrival at Perisher Valley Terminal when making your Booking, or at least 24 hours before your arrival. 

  8. The person making the booking will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of all persons who will be staying at Muddles Ski Lodge.  

Terms & Conditions For Client Bookings

1)    BOOKING YOUR STAY  

a)      The details of a Credit Card or Debit Card (Visa or MasterCard) are required at the time of booking and will be held on file until check-out.

b)      In the case that any of the payments agreed are not made in time, this Credit/Debit Card will be automatically charged the amount due. 

c)      These payments are as follows: 

i)        The outstanding balance for your stay, 30 days before your arrival.

ii)      Any monies owed for in-house purchases not paid by the time of your check-out.  

iii)    Excessive cleaning fee or damage to the property if not paid by the time of your check-out.  

 

2)    DEPOSITS  

a)      A deposit of 50% of the total booking is payable within 7 days from the day your booking is placed. 

b)      The deposit can be paid either by:

i)        Direct Deposit into Muddles Lodge bank account. Muddles Direct Deposit details are supplied at the bottom of your booking confirmation email.

ii)      The supplied credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Please be aware, there is a 1.5% credit card charge fee applied for bookings paid via credit card. Please get in touch with our team if you would like us to charge your credit card.

c)      On receipt of the deposit, written confirmation of the booking will be forwarded to the client.

d)      If the deposit is not received within this period and no contact is made, the booking will be automatically cancelled.    

 

3)    BALANCE  

a)      The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

b)      For bookings made 30 days or less, prior to arrival, the full balance is due at the time of booking.

c)      Failure to pay the balance by the due date will result in cancellation of the booking. The cancellation policy below would then apply.

 

4)    CANCELLATIONS  

a)      All client cancellations must be advised and acknowledged via email to info@muddles.com.au (please allow 48hrs for confirmation).

b)      If a cancellation is notified 30 days or more prior to arrival, a refund of any client payments will be made.  

c)      Cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival – NO REFUND OR CREDIT WILL BE PROVIDED. 

d)      If cancelled on the day of arrival or no show – NO REFUND OR CREDIT WILL BE PROVIDED. 

e)      Refunds will not be given if guests are unable to arrive on the day of booking commencement or depart prior to the planned departure date (this includes but is not limited to, reasons relating to transport difficulties, unavailability of lift passes, and/or weather conditions). 

f)       Force Majeure or Act of God terms will only apply at the discretion of Muddles Ski Lodge.   

 

5)    CHILD & INFANT RATES

a)      Child rates apply to children between the ages of 3 and 13 years of age.

b)      Infant rates apply to infants between the ages of 0 and 2 years of age.

c)      Adult rates apply to all guests from the age of 14 years of age.

 

6)     MEALS

a)      Breakfast and Dinner are included in our rates.

b)      Muddles Lodge is a fully licensed premises, so legally there is no BYO Food, or Alcohol permitted at the lodge.

c)      Meals for Babies and Infants must be provided by the accompanying adult and a small refrigeration space will be provided for this food only.

d)       In the case that any in-house purchases (including food, alcohol and drinks) are not paid by Check-Out, your supplied Credit/Debit Card will be automatically charged the amount due. 

 

7)    DIETARY REQUIREMENTS/ALLERGIES

a)      Dietary requirements are to be clearly advised at the time of booking.

d)      Late notification or same-day requests cannot be provided due to our remote location.

e)      We make every effort to accommodate guests with dietary requirements, however, please be advised that cross contamination may still occur in our kitchen. Our staff may use common equipment and utensils for preparing various dishes and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

 

8)    ALCOHOL

a)      Muddles Lodge is a fully licensed premises, so legally there is no BYO permitted at the lodge. We practice Responsible Service of Alcohol at all times.

b)      Alcohol and Drinks are not included in the booking rate, and can be purchased during your stay. In the case that any of the alcohol, drinks or other in-house purchases are not paid by Check-Out, your supplied Credit/Debit Card will be automatically charged the amount due. 

 

9)    COVID CANCELLATION POLICY  

a)      There is no specific covid cancellation policy this year and all bookings are subject to the above cancellation policy regardless of circumstances.   

b)      We strongly recommend taking out a travel insurance policy to cover all guests for any unforeseen COVID possibilities.

 

10)   CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

a)      Muddles Ski Lodge strongly recommends that all guests arrange appropriate travel insurance cover for the duration of their stay.

 

11)    CLIENT DAMAGE  

a)      The client is responsible for any and all damage caused by it or any of its guests, invitees or other persons attending Muddles Ski Lodge in any part of the complex.

 

12)    USE OF APPLIANCES

a)      Only appliances provided by Muddles Ski Lodge are allowed to be used within the premises (including the guests’ rooms). 

b)      An appliance must only be used for its specific purpose and in accordance with any instructions for use.  

 

13)    ADDITIONAL GUESTS / CLIENTS

a)      Only clients listed on the booking form may stay at the property.

b)      Any additional guests may only be accommodated with the written prior permission of the management of Muddles Ski Lodge, who may levy an additional person/s surcharge. 

c)      Violation of this clause may result in management asking the client and/or guests to leave the property without compensation. Any monies paid will be forfeited.  

 

14)    DAMAGE LIABILITY

a)      Should any damage, breakage or loss to the property be caused by the client, additional charges may apply. 

b)      If additional cleaning is required, additional charges may apply. 

c)      These charges are to be settled before check-out or they will be charged to the nominated Credit/Debit card saved on file. These additional charges are to be supported by a photo documentation. 

d)      No ski gear is to be taken to the rooms without proper cleaning and the previous consent of the Lodge Managers.  

 

15)    GUEST CONDUCT & NOISE  

a)      For the comfort of other guests, noise must be kept to a minimum at all times.  

b)      The Client is responsible for ensuring that its guest’s conduct themselves in an orderly manner.

c)      Management reserves the right to intervene if it deems that a guest’s activities are considered illegal, noisy or offensive, to exclude or remove any and all persons from the premises without liability if they consider such action is necessary.

d)      Clients and/or guests removed from the premises forfeit the full amount payable for the booking.

e)      Muddles Lodge is a fully licensed premises, so legally there is no BYO permitted at the lodge. We practice Responsible Service of Alcohol at all times.

 

16)    CLIENT PROPERTY

a)      Muddles Ski Lodge accepts no responsibility for damage or loss of any Clients property left in the lodge, on the premises or in a vehicle operated by Muddles Ski Lodge prior to, during or after a client stay.   

 

17)     SMOKING POLICY & FIRE ALARMS 

a)      Smoking is strictly prohibited within the confines of the building, including leaning out of windows or standing in open door ways. 

b)      All areas of the lodge are covered by back to base fire alarm systems. 

c)      Fire alarms fitted throughout the lodge and bedrooms are dual-sensor alarms (fire and smoke), which can be activated by excessive steam from the bathrooms and as such the en-suite doors should be shut during use and the exhaust fans utilised. 

d)      Should a client’s actions lead to a call out by NSW Fire Brigade, a $1,750 fee is likely to be incurred and charged to the client.   

 

18)    PARKING & TRANSPORT

a)      There is no parking available at Muddles Lodge in the Winter, and NPWS does not allow overnight parking in Perisher Valley between 12 midnight and 7am. 

b)      Free overnight and long-term parking is available at the Bullocks Flat Skitube terminal. If catching the Skitube from Bullocks Flat, let us know your ETA at least 24 hours before arrival, and our oversnow vehicle will pick you at the Perisher Valley Terminal.

 

19)    WEBSITE ACCURACY

a)      Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of this web site, Muddles Ski Lodge or its owners cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions occurring in the production or changes to accommodation facilities or amenities as specified. 

b)      Rooms & Conditions may vary to photographs displayed on this website.   

 

20)    MARKETING MEDIA RELEASE

a)      By accepting these Terms and Conditions I give Muddles Ski Lodge the right to take and use photos of myself and all other guests, including minors, under this booking as follows: 

i)        I grant to use my photos on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platform as well as the official Muddles Ski Lodge website.

ii)      I allow for these photos to be edited, altered, copied and distributed for any form of advertising and marketing of Muddles Ski Lodge. 

iii)    I agree that the photos belong to Muddles Ski Lodge. 

iv)    I understand that I will not receive any monetary compensation. 

v)      In the case you wish not to consent to the Marketing Media Release, please advise the lodge in writing via email.  

 

21)    DISCLAIMER

a)      Any actions taken against these Terms and Conditions are considered as breaching of the contract between the client and Muddles Ski Lodge and may result in financial responsibility to the client. 

b)      Muddles Ski Lodge reserves the right to evict any clients who breach this contract without providing any refund or credit for unused services.
